[1000mp] FT-1000MP (AF-DSP or IF-DSP)

I have read in the manual that the FT-1000MP's EDSP enhances? signals at a
audio level rather than a IF level. I have also read in a review that the
1000MP does all it's DSP at the 10.24khz IF.
 Does anyone know where this radio does it's EDSP and if it is done at a AF
or IF level. I also have noticed that when you engage either the DSP's BPF
or NR it does not effect the S meter reading, meaning it operates at a AF
level, or am I wrong.
