[1000mp] FT-1000MP back ground hiss. CW Cap Mod

No I am not referring to Ssb affects with this mod at all.
Only referring to the CW capacitor mod that comes with the Inrad IF mod, and
one has nothing to do with the other.
This CW only cap modification is in the CW audio amplifier section only, has
nothing to do with the i.f, and is only switched in when in cw receive
mode.... even though many users have incorrectly raved about its improvement
for them in Ssb.
I put one in with a switch. Ran many many tests of CW with this cap switched
in and out, and it does make a difference, at the audio level. But it
doesn't make a difference on my rig or to my ears any more than choosing the
Dsp settings. Thus I have chosen to leave this mod out, and my selection
options open. Some who are not using matched narrow cw filters, might object
to the Dsp being set tight, and in that case might prefer the cap mod
instead. I don't have that issue here.
That's all. I am not concerned by those that do it or not. It doesn't
degrade any operation other then if your going to listen for ssb while in cw
mode of operation .... and some do, especially in low power qrp operations,
or when in operation with Canadians who are in Ssb mode and you are forced
to go to cw due to band mode allocations.
It is a user choice, and not one with enough merit for this user to give up
the choice of wide or narrow audio when in the cw receive mode.
