well guys I read this reflector all the time and must admit the info is good
to have
I myself bought a mkv and I compared it with the mps
I can say the difference was very noticeable in favour of the mkv
however I must agree with others on the filter selection was a bad move on
the mkv
side tone level at back is also bad but that's life
one thing I have noticed on many mps is the 10m receive isn't good they all
seem deaf compared to my ts850 but with the mkv its better not compared with
the ts850 yet but will at a later date

going back to the original question on the pro11 I hope to use and compare
one in the next few days to see what they are both like against each other

before I bought my mkv I spoke with several hams who had both or used both
and all said the mkv had the edge.
I wasn't lucky enough to do a compare myself as they were no pro11 in the UK
in January but I do look forward to comparing them and if I do feel the
pro11 to be better their will be a mkv up for sale so time will tell
