You did not run it high enough up the ladder. A week past the anniversary
date is too close that they should cover that. I had a problem with Icom
271H once and took it all the way up to the president of the company and he
got it fixed for me. That radio is still running FB today although I don't
own it anymore. BTW I have only had two Icom radios in my life; 751A &
271H.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
