[1000mp] Sudden Loss of Display

 A year and a week---and it was not do to anything you did? That is COLD!

I had an intermittent but frequent MP problem with attenuated receive signal
(probably a small relay sticking on the TX/RX transition) that first popped
up during the 3B9R trip, on CW. I sent the MP to Yaesu--way before the first
anniversary--and the tech could not duplicate it, although I could do so
virtually at will. I still don't know what his problem was. He did replace a
bunch of parts, including a relay or two, and it appeared to be OK for a
while. But the problem has returned. I made a point at the time of stating
that, since they were guessing and could not guarantee the fix, I expected
to be treated as if still under warranty if it recurred.

Fat chance.

I recently sent an email to Chip, asking him what Yaesu would do about this.
I have received no reply. I guess he is a busy guy...:-(

Meanwhile, I am just living with it.

Oh, and I did observe the Celebrated Jumping RIT, as well.
