[1000mp] Sudden Loss of Display

Seems to be a endemic problem with the Yaesu.  I had the same trouble and 
exactly one week after the one year warranty expired!  I sent it back to 
Yaesu and they charged me about $100 to repair it, plus the shipping charges 
both ways!  It's been almost a year since the repair and no problems so far.
