FWIW, I just buzzed out my cable (it works, BTW) and it's a straight
through (NOT null modem) 9pin-to-9pin (2-2, 3-3). I did not check what
other pins are hooked up.
It doesn't sound like you do, but if you have a 25pin conn the signals
on 2 and 3 are reversed from what they are on a 9pin - so a "straight
thru" 25pin-to-9pin cable needs to swap those two pins at one end.
