[1000mp] Audio display software, also: band scope info??

   There is a waterfall type display program called Spectran 
available that is freeware. It is used by some in the EME 
community for detecting very weak signals. It also has some 
DSP filtering capabilities. It has some rough edges, as it 
is a work in progress, but the price is right :-).

   Is there anything currently available so one can have a 
band scope on a 1000D/MP/V?? Something like the band scope 
in a IC756/781. I saw a program that will scan the radio and 
  create a scope display on a computer. Guessing that would 
be slow?? Appreciate any comments on good hardware or 
software possibilities for a band scope.
