[1000mp] Sticky switches

Sounds like spilled Pepsi on the buttons. Did that to a scientific
calculator and never did manage to get it clean.

I've wondered the same thing.
The center vertical row of the switch bank to the right of the main
tuning
knob of my MP has 7 'sticky' switches (hard to push) (the A<->B, A->M,
3.5,
14., 24.5, 29 and UP>). All the others seem to be OK.
One of these days I'm gonna try to take the panel off and see what's
what.
I do have the service manual, but I'm not looking forward to it.
(I haven't re-done the gears on my R-390A, either)
