Hi,
I will second Jason's comments. I also bought the Mark V for use as the
IF rig with the 6m transverter. I was interested in the FTV-1000/Mark V
combination because it would give me enough power to drive my 8877
without an intermediate amplifier and I thought it would give me a step
up in receiver performance. Unfortunately, I've had some troubles with
the FTV-1000 but I'm hoping Yaesu can rectify that. I hope they can,
because I can't justify the cost of the Mark V for hf use!
