local TV channels are overpowering the receiver causing signals to
appear in the 6m passband. What are you seeing?
I also agree somewhat with you on the 6m side. While I sold a 990 to
own the MarkV, I did so to get the 200watts, and the receive
capabilities and filtering of the M.V. I can justfy the MV easily
enough just for HF. But I am an avid 6m freak. I'm presently using an
FT847 and just sold a 150w brick in preparation of buying the FV1000.
While the 847 gets me on 6m, the MarkV should really perform! But not
if the receive or birdie problem is that bad.
