[Yaesu] Yaesu separation cable jack question

Check the short cable, I think you will find it inverted, I know mine
are for 857Ds and the straight telephone cable without inversion does
not work at all. The cable pictures in my presentation Tidbits.pdf is
definitely inverted and it worked. The long cable I bought off line not
long after i bought my first 857D is definitely inverted. Could be the
857 without the suffix wasn't inverted.
