[Yaesu] MH-1 handheld & FC-10 tuner question

In the spirit of enjoying my new FT-840, does anyone have an MH-1B micgathering dust and available?  
Secondly, the FT-840 had a pricey antenna tuner associated with it calledthe FC-10.  Although limited in number of memories, it featured rig totuner compatibility.  My question is whether those of you who have usedit would not rather prefer a modern LDG unit instead?  
Once the tuner has stored a frequency, the tune up time would be quick.So my thinking is the LDG has the big advantage.  Am I wrong?
