I've thumbed through the owners and the shop manuals. There are separate
part numbers for the knob and the rubber ring, but no comments on
getting the knob off the shaft. Didn't see a set screw either in the
parts picture. I tried to move the rubber ring on my 736R and it feels
like its been anchored permanently. Could it be that the knob isn't
anchored with a set screw, but only a spring and would pull off if you
tugged?
