I have started looking for a Yaesu FT897D to be my base and mobile
radio (just one to move between the house and car) and am wondering is
there are any common problems showing up with these rigs now that they
are 10 years old or so.  I seem to hear about some display problems
occurring, is that pretty common?  Any other common problems occuring
with age?
