   The smaller stores usually do not offer discounts. You can wheel and deal with HRO and Gigaparts. Wait until the hamfest. All of the dealers are there and they don't want to be undersold.

Subject: [Yaesu] questions---questions---questions
 
I've decided to get a Yaesu FT-987.   Boy, do I have questions.......

1.  I'd like to get it with Collins 500hz CW filter and Collins 2.3 SSB filter.   Are ther other filter arrangements which be better?  The FC-30 antenna tuner added in, too.  

2.  I think the FP-30 power supply would be best for me.  Any thoughts here?

3.  Is there a mike supplied?  Not clear on this.  If not, what would be the best one?

4.  For the stores which sell new equipment:   what kind of markup on gear is there?   I was thinking about asking them to give me 10% cash deduction, and I'd pick it up in store.  Any thoughts on that?
