Have a beautiful set of yaesu twins, great receiver, with the digital display, the transmitter has the analogue display. I have them set up for transceive operation with the receiver VFO, controlling both rigs. everything work as it should except the transmitter is 10-20 kc differant. than the receive frequency. the yaesu's use the calibrator signal of the receiver sent to the transmitter, the transmitter has a spot button you push and a calibration pot you turn till you zero beat the the cal bration tone, then your supposedly dead on, with each other. This is how I read the manual, must be a early Japaneses translation cause its hard to understand what their saying for sure to do. But I always seen to end up with the off frequent transmission. Iam thinking I could match the two dead on using my frequency counter to dead match the digital readout on the receiver?? would welcome any comments on the problem
thanks
