[Yaesu] YO-100 Mod

I picked up a pair of YO-100 monitors this morning and one has some serious
mods.  It has a switch in the front panel and inside is a relay of some
kind.  When you switch the switch, the screen goes off.  Any ideas what this
mod does?  I'm planning to take it all out, fill the hole and move on but it
would be nice to know what the mod does.
