[Yaesu] Sollving the problem of a defective FP29 Power Supply

After several years of non-use, I fired up the Yaesu FT1000MP Mark V. It was immediately apparent that the supply was inoperative. It exhibited the standard problem of pilot light glow for an instant and then dimming to no output. There is no voltage and the fan is inoperative. Not certain if I want to stay with the Yaesu supply.  Has  anyone  addressed a similar problem with the installation  of a  dual voltage   replacement  using a different manufacturer?   I would appreciate if anyone having a similar experience would share the solutions  with me.  Regards, Ron W2CQM/3
