The shipping advice is good because not every ham can do his own repairs.
 At some point, diminishing vision and loss of dexterity gets the best of
all of us.

About the only thing bubble wrap is good for is using it to stuff the
cabinet of a tube rig so everything inside stays in place.  Big tubes should
be pulled and shipped separately.  Double boxing alone isn't good enough.
 You have to have two boxes but each one lined with 2 inch thick styrofoam
slab.   Shippers like bubble wrap because it is easy.  for anything heavy it
is not good enough.
