[Yaesu] FT-530 Repair Question

Good Afternoon!
 
I have a FT-530 that has the misfortune of a broken tape cable between the  
two sections of the HT. Is there a way to repair this tape with its 
connections.  Otherwise I may have a HT that is full of primo parts.
