thinking about purchasing quadra. looking for any pro / con info from reflector. also is 10 /12 meter conversion difficult

thanks for all positive feedback. additional question, one post indicated vp-1000 power supply has to be on even if you do not wish to use amp, i would think default ant "a" would be connected, doesnt make sense to burn up electricity by running power supply all the time.??
