[Yaesu] "relay" contacts.../ General Transmit mod?

  Thanks to those who have commented. The concensus is that the relay is 
sticking. I just could not figure why I turn the 1000D off when it is 
receiving fine and when turning on, the relay should still be in the Receive 
Closed condition as when turned off, therefore no "break" in the contacts 
has occurred. Thought, therefore, there would be no dust or oxidation while 
still in the receiver closed position.. Guess will cycle the PTT a dozen or 
so times each week. Today it came up all OK on 5403.5 on 60m, where I mainly 
use it.  I love the 1000D radios! Again, thanks for the input and thread 
space to ask the question.
   I just wish my late 2000 1000D had a simple way from front panel like the 
1000D Mark V to change to a "general transmit" condition. Going inside the 
unit and making board changes is NOT something I want to do. Anyone come up 
with a tech special on allowing transmit anywhere from a front panel 
sequence of booting the radio?
