[Yaesu] FT-897D 2M Problems?

I have a new FT-897D that has problems in the two-meter band.

The first problem is feedback.  Whether on FM or SSB (only on 2M), some low
level and distorted feedback is heard either in the speaker or in my Heil
Sound headset.  The amplitude of the feedback is related to the RF power I
select.  I have tried transmitting into a dummy load and the problem
persists.

The second problem is intermittent.  Sometimes when I select one 2M memory,
and then transmit, the radio seems to reset itself.  The relays in the radio
click, the display blanks for a fraction of a second, the radio gives a
low-hi beep and then  returns to the memory or to another memory. This only
seems to happen in 2M, intermittently.

Maybe someone has had these same problems and knows the remedy?
