[Yaesu] FT-757GX difficulties

   I don't understand, transmit or receive?  If receive is the pass band
tuning centered, does adjusting it cure the problem?

   You need to ascertain if it is related to the position of the knob where
the action changes, or it is truly random. The digital encoders can frequently
be cleaned or repaired.  Lint, cracks or paint flaking on glass or plastic
disks have been found to cause troubles,  They are pretty durable overall.
I do not know how to disassemble this kind/style.
