[Yaesu] FT-530

folks -- i  made the mistake (didn't know it was one) of pulling the 
external power connector out of the top on the HT while the rig was 
operating.  since then the external power operates the HT just fine, but 
internal batteries don't! 

what dumb thing did i do???   how do i get it working again on internal 
batteries?   your help will be much appreciated.
