[Yaesu] Problem with FT-980

One of my FT-980's started acting up.  First, it would just stop
transmitting. I checked everything and put it all alone into the dummy load.
It seemeed to be working OK.

I hook it back in the station and hooked it to my amp with
the FRB-1 relay box.  It keyed the amp Ok and then all of a sudden almost no
output and the meter went off the top of the scale.  I thought at first it
was a problem with the power supply but receiver was Ok.  On transmit the
meter pegged the top of the scale in IC, power, and Comp ranges.  When I
switch to see what the voltage is on the other meter instead of the usually
13 v its off scale.  Again does not seem to affect receive.

Any Ideas??    I just replaced the power amp in 2002.  Its nearly the same
as the FT-1000/1000D.
