[Yaesu] re Inrad 2.8 khz filters

    I would like to hear from anyone who has replaced the stock ssb 
filters in their FT-1000D with those 2.8 khz filters from Inrad namely 
the 715C in the high IF and the 716B in the 455 khz I F. When replacing 
them, did  you have to reset your carrier oscillators for best 
performance on ssb? What I want to know is whether it is worth the $270 
cost to accomplish what exactly? I have just orderred the roofing filter 
for my 1000D today and am anxious to see the results.
