*Anyone out there with an FT2000? I'm sitting here with my FT2000 on
one side, and My FT1000D on the other. (has W8JI mods and roofing filter)
I'm trying to decide if the FT2000 has an edge on the 1000D...I'm not
seeing any dramatic improvement. The 2000 has some nice bells and
whistles...It's a nice radio.. BUT! the 1000D leaves it dead in the
water on mechanical integrity and finish. The 1000D seems as quiet on
receive. There's no contest between my 1000MP (roofing filter, W8JI
mods, INRADS etc) and the other two. The MP comes last!!
Anyone else made the comparison??
