Airborne  subs out some of their parcels to the USPS, as does UPS and DHL. 
In other words, they pay the USPS to deliver parcels to customers who are 
"inconvenient" to them. Perhaps you live in an area that Airborne subs out 
parcels.
By the way, DHL is a German owned company.
