[Yaesu] Yaesu FT-1000 and growing collection

Howard,
Having only ONE Yaesu (an FT-100D mounted in my Jeep) I do not feel
qualified to respond to your question! However, may I ask for YOUR advice
regarding starting my OWN Yaesu collection? First, how did you find your
spouse and does she have a sister??!!!!??

Your really a lucky man! But seriously, I have only a single FT-100D mounted
in my Jeep and no base station. I'm thinking of getting another radio (must
continue to work overtime, though) but haven't figured out if I'm going to
go base or mobile and making the FT-100D my base radio. I am interested in
running digital modes in the future but not right now.

May I have the privilege of your thoughts/experience, sir?
