Nick & All--

You can download an FT-767GX service manual from < http://www.mods.dk >;
I went looking for mine to look up an answer to this question, and had
to go find one there.

Mods.dk (that's in Denmark) now has a sign up; with a free account, you
can download IIRC a mod or file every day, and a manual (on a separate
FTP site, but relatively painless) once every four days. If you make a
donation (3 months $9 or 12 months $17) by PayPal you have more 'VIP'
privileges.

The download (probably depending on time of day both ends) can be slow;
the 767 Service Manual is 22MB and change, Zipped PDF, and took almost
an hour over our (usually quick) cable modem at only some 6-7kibi/sec.
Dialup could get expensive, so you may want to try one of the manual
vendors like Pete Markavage; <
http://www.manualman.com/catalog/news124.htm > for $28.50.

All else aside, RF to the other fellow's antenna is what counts.
