   My FT-990 has 3 Yaesu filters that seem to me to work 
"top drawer," unlike my FT-757GTII filters that have several 
problems such as leaking around the "wrong" end and lack 
total rejection to strong signals that should be totally 
gone.  I suspect Yaesu filters made since then can not be 
easily improved upon.
