[Yaesu] FT-707 Problem

Hi

I just decided to fire up my old FT-707, Ive had this for about
about 4 years, I bought it off a ham who had it from new, he says
that it hardly has any airtime at all, indeed its in immaculate
condition, I should have tested it on all bands but hey that’s life
anyway, I fired it up on 20m with no problems, got great
audio reports and all works fine, today I did the same on 10m
and as soon as I introduced SSB Audio, the Radio went bezerk
with the display showing different freqs as the rise and fall
of the audio, checked on 12m and 15m with excactly the same
results, checked also into Dummy Load, same problem, 20m and
down seems fine, anyone give my any ideas where to look in
the first instance
