[Yaesu] OT- New Products and Specials at Dayton

Hi Folks,

W4RT Electronics will again be at the Dayton Hamvention in our same 
location, Booth #114 (across the aisle from Bob Heil's Booth).  Hope you 
will drop by and see the new accessories and interesting specials we have 
this year.  Some examples are as follows:

LDG Z-100 Ultra for $149 (this is the same as the regular price for the 
Z-100 alone!).  This is a very special Dayton-ONLY price and applies ONLY 
to the stock we have at Dayton.  No preorders and no backorders at this 
price. The Z-100 Ultra includes an internal battery pack (with batteries) 
and circuit mod that allows you to operate the Z-100 Ultra without needing 
to connect an external power source (but you still can). Nominally, over 
10,000 full-tunes and many times more memory tunes before needing to change 
the long-life batteries. Really cool for portable operations.

500 Hz CW filter for $109 and the 2.3 kHz SSB filter for $125. This is a 
very special Dayton-ONLY price and applies ONLY to the stock we have at 
Dayton.  No preorders and no backorders at this price. These excellent 
filters, built by W4RT Electronics, contain either a 7-pole (CW) or a 
10-pole (SSB) Collins Mechanical Filter essentially identical in 
performance to that Yaesu uses in the YF-122C and YF-122S optional filters. 
Proper filter termination is an integral part of the W4RT filter assembly. 
Connectors like those on the YF-122C/S allow you to install and remove 
these filters just as you do with the Yaesu filters.  Filter units contain 
the coding for the FT-857 or FT-897 to recognize it appropriately.  Same 
filter fits the FT-817/ND too.

Wonder Wand Antenna for $99 (regular price is $134). This is a very special 
Dayton-ONLY price and applies ONLY to the stock we have at Dayton.  No 
preorders and no backorders at this price. The Wonder Wand has been made as 
compact as possible, without compromising performance. Just pop it in a bag 
with your rig when going for a walk in the countryside or take it camping. 
Enjoy radio in the great outdoors without the hassle of erecting more 
complex antennas. Designed with the Yaesu FT-817, FT-897, and ICOM 703 in 
mind, the Wonder Wand can also be used on other low-power HF radios up to a 
maximum output power of 25 watts P.E.P.

Tuned Counterpoise System (TCS) for $89. The Wonder Wand TCS is a portable 
ground radial system designed to work with the Wonder-Wand antenna, 
although it will also work very well with other types of antennas such as 
the Miracle Whip or a long-wire/tuner combo.  Quite simply it is a tuning 
box that interfaces the chassis of the radio to a short 4m counterpoise, 
which is extended out over the ground. The best setting is determined by 
rotating the control knob until a definite increase in received signal is 
heard or best SWR is observed.  Improvement of both received and 
transmitted signals is typical.  Best of all, it is quite small and great 
for portable operation.

WonderPole for $149 (normal price is $169).  This is a very special 
Dayton-ONLY price and applies ONLY to the stock we have at Dayton.  No 
preorders and no backorders at this price.  This is a brand new product 
that will be shown for the first time at the Hamvention.  The WonderPole is 
a ultra compact dipole (about 12" total length when stored) having a 
deployed span of about nine feet.  The design is related to the Wonder Wand 
and covers 70 cm through 20 m.   This antenna is now a permanent part of my 
QRP "Go-Bag."  It can be set up as a dipole or a vertical dipole and is 
easy to tune on HF by simply turning the band selector switch like is done 
on the Wonder Wand. It is rated to work with radios having up to a maximum 
output power of 25 watts P.E.P.

FT-817 Adjustable Stand for $29.  This is a great stand that you just snap 
onto the FT-817 when you need it.  Height is easily adjusted.  This stand 
from bhi Ltd. has been very popular and we have a hard time keeping it in 
stock.  We just got another shipment, but expect they will all be sold on 
Friday.

Hear It DSP Products.  Drop by and try them out for yourself using one of 
our radios and actual recorded RF (using the ESS Time Machine having 80 kHz 
bandwidth).  The performance of the DSP module in the FT-817 is hard to 
believe until you hear it for yourself.  Check out our prices.

Antenna BOSS for $169. This is a very special Dayton-ONLY price and applies 
ONLY to the stock we have at Dayton.  No preorders and no backorders at 
this price. The Antenna BOSS" makes essentially any motorized antenna "look 
like" the Yaesu ATAS-100/120 to the FT-100/D, FT-847, FT-857, and FT-897 
radios. Now you can use your radio's own TUNE button for automatic tuning 
the way it was intended! The Antenna BOSS is simple to install and simple 
to use. High Sierra Antennas, Hi-Q-Antennas and Tarheel Antennas all work 
well with The Antenna BOSS.
