[Yaesu] Kenwood 940 vs Yaesu 990

Having owned both, they each have their strong points, however in a
head-to-head performance match the TS-940 would win hands down.  Just
look at the specs and you'll see exactly what I mean.

I need some input from those you you in the know. I have a chance to get

either a Kenwood 940 (with extra filters) or a Yaesu 990 (ac/dc model). 
I have been doing research on both and they both seem like very really 
nice radios. I need to hear opinions from those of you that have tried
