I've done the mods on several models in these ranges (mine is in the
older series) and once in a while a second try at the reset is
necessary. I have found as well that the reset seems (on mine at
least) to be a sort of toggle. Power up with the arrows pressed and
expanded RF is available, do it again and the default range is
restored. It's been a long since I experimented with it, but that's
the way I remember.
