[Yaesu] FT990 batteries

Thank you very much for the interesting information on FT-990 backup
batteries. I've owned one for 12 years and didn't have any hard information
on the separate one in the ATU.

Do you happen to know whether the same thing is true of the FT-1000D? I'm
having  persistent problems with mine and wonder whether there's an
undocumented battery in there somewhere. Yaesu (UK) say not, but there again
they say there's only one in the FT-990 -- which as we know isn't the case.
