[Yaesu] FT857D and audio problems

I just purchased a used FT857D today from HRO (about 6
months old).  I wonder if they have fixed the audio
problems in the new models?  From what I experienced
with a FT897, and from what I have heard about the
FT857, if the SWR gets above 1.5:1 or so, the audio
starts breaking up.  Also remembered reading something
about 6 meter problems on the FT857.  I will be using
this mobile from time to time, mainly on 6 meters, to
a mag mount antenna with a less than perfect SWR, so
hope the problems have been fixed.  Any feedback from
list members on this?
