[Yaesu] Mars mod on ft-847

No parts are required to reverse the Mod. All you need to do is take a =
low
wattage soldering iron, like a 25-30 watt pencil type iron and some
desoldering braid or other solder removing device and remove the added
solder bridges. If a chip resistor was removed then all you need to do =
is
replace it with solder, the chip resistor is actually a 0 ohm shorted =
bridge
anyway.

Here are my factory-settings in FT-847:

pad 1 =3D shorted with a chip resistor
pad 2 =3D open
pad 3 =3D open
pad 4 =3D open
pad 5 =3D shorted with a chip resistor
pad 6 =3D shorted with a chip resistor

Some of the slight revisions that were made to later models of the =
FT-847
would have effected the stock jumper config. But I am assuming that =
this
config above should work fine on yours. If you got the combination =
wrong no
damage would occur to the radio, these jumpers are merely programming
jumpers for the cpu. Try setting it up the way I show above and then do =
a
full reset on the radio to get the settings to take and see if the ARS
works.
