[Yaesu] Aftermarket antenna

I am looking for a good aftermarket dual band (2/440)
antenna for my F6A.  I currently have a pryme RD9SMA,
but am not that happy with its receive performance.  I
am looking for something around 8 inches tall that
will receive FM broadcast and TV audio as well as
transmit decently on 2 meters.  Called up AES and the
salesman's opinion was that all 8 inch antennas
perform about the same.  Called up HRO, asked about
this, and they put me on hold.  After 5 minutes I hung
up.  Glad they like my business.

So, any other recommendation about a good dual band
antenna with wideband receive.  THe comet SMA24 I have
works pretty well on receive, but at 17 inches long it
is kind of difficult to carry around.

I have heard that the stock antenna on the VX7R is
really good.  Is that true?  If so, might try to get
one of those.
