[Yaesu] Contest Operating with FT-1000D and (Write Log) Software Program

There is an excellent article on this in RSGB RadCom magazine December 2002,
p56-7.
Shows Yaesu interface using but two general purpose transistors with dc
supply from the COM port.
More elaborate takes on this using optoisolators can be found on the

I still can't work out how CW keying goes, tho. Seems this is a separate
