Hello Roger,

Thanks for your explanation about the packet tones. Can you tell me on which
page of the manual this is being explained?

About the step in the wrong direction: IMHO it sounds a little bit weird
when you 'turn around a station' in the CW mode with the 250 Hz filter
switched on, you turn in a direction and expect the tone to go up (or down)
but you hear the tone go in the wrong direction then expected. When you
blank the 10 Hz digit, you don't see it but still hear it. On this subject
we have different opinions/experiences, which is no problem of course.

I worked for about 18 years at a maritime coastal station as W/T operator.
We spend hours in the calling band searching for vessels who were calling
our station. Perhaps I am a little bit critical.

The slower tuning is pleasurable indeed.
