Hello Hart,

I would suggest the FT-1000D, without any doubt. I have one, next to the
Mark V, and for SSB the 1000D really is something very special!

Selectivity is excellent with the four IF's and the filters. I use Inrad
filters 2.8 and 2.1 kHz for SSB.

Output is 240 Watt here.

Excellent ergonomics.

The only minus is the speed of the VFO; a bit too fast. I installed the
modification, but I am not satisfied with this.
