Thanks for the input Jon.
The reason for using the packet accessory jack on the back of the FT990
is that the microphone is muted when PKT is selected from the front
panel, so I don't have to disconnect the mike when operating PSK31 etc.
The radio operates in LSB when doing this.
The downside is that when wanting to use SSTV on 20 meters and above is
that it is run in USB. Some other digital modes are also SB specific.
It would be nice to select the SB you want when choosing PKT, but
apparently that is not the case.
