if when used with non Yaesu exciters the frequency-sensing circuit of the
VL-
1000 really instantly change band when RF drive is applied [Yes. Set exciter
to RTTY, press F SET on Quadra. The Quadra counts excitation freq and sets
itself to new band in < 1 sec]

the minimum RF PEP power needed to excite the VL-1000 [70 to 80W]
