[Yaesu] FT-2800M SQL Question

I just bought a FT-2800M.� I have the RF SQL turned off.� I can turn the
manual sql all the way down.� But on some frequencies for local
repeaters, I can't hear the repeaters identify.� I know that I should be
hearing static like crazy or at least the repeaters identify or courtesy
tones, but I don't.� Any ideas why?
