[Yaesu] FT-900 Mobil?

Used to use my FT-900CAT in my Aerostar van. Mounted it with a wooden frame,
hard to describe, had two side pieces holding a rectangular flat piece at an
angle, and use the standard MMB-20(?) mount. About the only problem I had is
that the tuning knob is very easy to turn in standard setup and if you
touched the knob it would of course move. It can be tightened but I didn't
want to mess with that. I did not use the separation kit although I have
one. Mounted the whole radio so I could get to all the controls. Earlier had
an FT-747GX and it has the click knob which it really good for mobile use. I
used simple Hustler antennas and worked a lot of local and DX. Reason I took
it out was I don't travel that much on four-lane roads, and most of my
travel requires more concentration on driving. Hope this is of interest.
