[Yaesu] FT-5200 power problem

Has anyone experienced the problem where a 5200 will turn on briefly, =
show
what appears to be a segment test, then turn itself back off again. Rig =
was
working fine until I disconnected the remote head from the body of the =
unit,
cleaned the contacts then reconnected remote head. Tried soft reset and =
hard
reset all to no avail. Checked battery in control head and it appears =
good
at 3.34 V. Anyone seen this behavior before and have a solution?
