[Yaesu] Aftermarket HT Batteries?

The NiCad in my HT was tired so I priced replacement battery packs and found 
the price range from $80 down to $40.  Then I tried a local battery shop that 
rebuilds existing battery packs.  In my case, a small local battery outfit 
called Bulldog Battery Willoughby, OH (www.bulldog-battery.com) was 10 miles 
away and rebuilt the existing one for $21.  Great job Great price.  

I avoided NiMH batteries due to some reports of problems with NiCad chargers 
not well suited for them. So rather than take a chance I stuck with NiCads. 

What a difference a fresh battery pack makes in my 2M HT.
